Dear NAS Family:

The beginning of a new year is the perfect time to reach out to our team and thank you for a tremendous job done in the last year. 2021 came with its share of surprises and challenges as our industry struggled to recover. We actively contributed to its revival - facilitating passenger travel and cargo transport, and emerged from this pandemic larger and stronger.

With vision, persistence and sheer hard work, we maintained our focus on growing aggressively in emerging markets and establishing ourselves as the service provider of choice. Today, we are not only the fastest growing aviation services provider in the emerging markets but also the largest ground handler on the African continent. In the last year alone, we acquired two companies – Siginon Aviation in Kenya and BidAir Services in South Africa, launched operations in DRC and Guinea Bissau, opened lounges in Italy and Zambia, and set up a line maintenance partnership in the UAE. Together we extended our presence into 16 new airports in just one year. 

The different partnerships we forged helped aid travel recovery across our network, but particularly in Kuwait, where our technology facilitated travel for thousands of people. We were the first GHA to integrate with the IATA Travel Pass and Microsoft recognized our efforts to power a safe return to air travel. Our innovative technologies driving travel recovery were appreciated and recognized with esteemed global awards. 

As we look to the future, we aim to cement our position as the leading GHA in emerging markets, and particularly Africa, the Middle East and South Asia. That said, we realize there are complementary operations in Europe, East Asia and the Americas and we will pursue those to create value for our shareholders, customers, and employees. The goodwill we have built with our stakeholders in the past will serve us well as we navigate these volatile times.

Each one of you has been instrumental is making NAS soar in the last year and I am privileged and honored to be leading such a fantastic team of individuals across 23 countries.
